12) THINKING AND STUDYING

Updated: Mar 15, 2024

Discovering Christ requires us to lift the veil of darkness and embark on a quest to uncover God's presence within the universe. It demands thoughtful reflection and diligent study of God's word to draw closer to Him.

In 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 (NLT), it's elucidated that if the Gospel we proclaim is obscured by a veil, it is concealed only from those who are perishing. Satan, the ruler of this world, has veiled the minds of unbelievers, preventing them from perceiving the radiant light of the Gospel. They fail to comprehend the message concerning the splendor of Christ, who embodies the very likeness of God.

Previously, our awareness of God would be facilitated by hearing or reading His word, and God would lead us to Christ through the Holy Spirit. However, today, as we engage in discussions regarding Evolution versus Creation, we utilize our reasoning faculties to grasp the essence of God. With these initial insights, we can begin to embrace Christ and nurture our faith, wielding the sword of Christ (Revelations 1:16).

We must recognize that faith devoid of action is lifeless, and faith is cultivated through belief, which in turn is fostered by the study of God's word. Our eternal destiny hinges on our choices.
